We created Bus Boot Camp as a way of sharing our knowledge and experience of air-cooled classics, including VW camper vans and beetles. Bus Boot Camp is a VW maintenance training course, ideal for anyone who owns a vintage air-cooled Volkswagen and wants to learn how to maintain and repair their camper van, beetle or bus to the highest level. This maintenance training course is suitable for everyone: from beginners to those with a little more experience and is friendly, laid back and informal.
No prior knowledge of mechanics is required and we assume no prior knowledge or experience. If you want to understand how your Volkswagen works, learn new skills or simply refresh your knowledge and get your hands dirty, it’s a great day out.
The one day Bus Boot Camp maintenance course runs approximately every six weeks through the year. It covers basic maintenance, including servicing and emergency repairs, in a laid-back and friendly environment. The course runs from 8.30am until 4.30pm, with breakfast, lunch and refreshments included.
To find out more, check availability and book your place, visit our Bus Boot Camp website. It's a must for anyone who wants to learn to maintain, repair and fix their VW camper or beetle. The course takes place at Type 2 detectives HQ near Cambridge, East Anglia, and we believe its the premier maintenance training course for VW campers in the UK. We regularly welcome delegates from all over England and Scotland, as well as across Europe.
